Hello Everyone and a Happy New Year!

Lots of things happening this year, I hope you will all take part in some form.

First some very good news the Cook Shire Council has raised the prize money for the Cook Shire Council award in our Annual Art Exhibition to $1000.00!

Ergon have said they will sponsor us again as well. A Very Good Start.

Our first General Meeting for this year will be on Thurs. 5th Feb. 5.30pm at the gallery.

This will be followed by a DVD titled "SKILL BUILDING" perspective. Learn the three major elements of perspective with John Lovett. John's simple exercises help you understand linear perspective so you can draw buildings from any angle, and aerial perspective, so you can manipulate colour, shape and edges to achieve authentic looking distance.

As mentioned in the email to members the store room was in need of a sort prior to painting the interior. Thankfully Diana Burns and myself accomplished this on the week-end. There is still much to do so if you have any time contact me and we can work out a schedule and allocate 'jobs'.

Barry has started putting new shelving up in the store room.

We will start on painting the interior the last weekend in January if this suits everyone.

If we have enough people to assist and they prefer the weekdays let me know.

I think the gallery needs to be opened by 9th February.

This gives us time to have it cleaned up and looking fresh for the coming season.

Please let me know if and when you could attend. By my email or phone.

Sue Stacpoole has just become a grandma again, a granddaughter before Christmas and now a grandson in January. Congratulations to Sue and family.
