Irene Taylor
My love of all things “arty” was developed at a very early age whilst watching my Mother draw, paint, sculpt and carve. She has been my greatest influence. I have had had no formal training but have improved my skills and knowledge through experimenting with different types of medium and styles.
I have had a solo exhibition and a joint exhibition with my daughters, Angelina and Johanna whose talents extend to poetry, creative fashion design, painting and gold and silver smithing.
My love of wildlife and nature was enhanced after spending years on the land as a grazier. Studying wildlife in Africa was a highlight of an adventurous life.
I believe that everyone has something creative in their make up which, when nurtured and encouraged can be developed into something which gives immense enjoyment and solace.
I am also blessed to have a partner who supports and encourages me in my artistic endeavours.
